JOHN H SOHL, III - CEO

John is responsible for the overall direction of corporate activities and the quality of field services. Mr. Sohl also has responsibility for the capital structure and business development of COLUMBIA. He has 25 years of experience in senior technical project management and business development and is a former nuclear-submarine captain. Mr. Sohl holds a BS in Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from Chaminade University of Honolulu.
NED TILLMAN - President

Ned has 30 years of experience in environmental project management and has developed and refined various sampling and analytical technologies. He has chaired and served on committees on ground water, brownfields, risk-based assessments, expedited site assessments, and field analytical techniques for the State of Maryland, ASTM, EPA, and API. Mr. Tillman is a registered geologist and holds an MS in Geochemistry from Syracuse and a BA from Franklin & Marshall.
DOUGLAS MCINNES - Field Technical Services

Doug is responsible for the technical development and quality assurance of direct sensing instrumentation. His experience includes 25 years in analytical laboratories and related industries including all phases of sample collection, sample preparation and analysis, data validation, report writing, customer service, project management, lab waste management, computer usage, and supervision. He holds a BS in Chemistry from Towson University.
PETE BALLARD - Sales Manager

Pete is responsible for business development, sales, and customer education. His experience includes 35 years in technical program management, information systems, and consulting. He holds a BA from Marietta College.
TOM MILLER - CIO
Tom manages the largest direct sensing database in the country, SmartData Solutions®. He is responsible for developing the fastest and best processes for handling, visualizing, and delivering data to clients in near real time. Tom holds BS and MS degrees from George Mason University and has been awarded the CIO Certificate from the federal government.
DON SHILESKY, D.Sc. - Federal Sector Business Accounts
Don has more than 20 years of accomplishments in business development, management, technical, and regulatory studies specializing in the environmental database, engineering, and construction consulting fields. Dr. Shilesky has developed teaming relationships and prepared and submitted proposals as a prime or subcontractor for more than $1 billion worth of contracts since May, 2000. He has planned, organized, and presented technical conferences on land farming of sludges, nuclear waste disposal, and nuclear facility decommissioning and has undertaken environmental assessments of hazardous waste treatment sites, oil refineries, gasoline distribution terminals, and stations. He holds a D.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Washington University and an MS in Environmental Health Engineering and a BS in Biology from the University of Cincinnati.
CRAIG GAINER, CPA, CMA - Controller
Craig has more than 30 years of accounting experience with 25 years as Controller with service-related companies. He holds a BS in Finance from Pennsylvania State University.
