SmartData Solutions® MIP, Membrane Interface Probe - Direct Sensing Technologies
COLUMBIA deploys our
SmartData Solutions® MIP system as opposed to the standard membrane interface probe (MIP) service provided by others. This includes a more sophisticated operating protocol that is specifically designed for optimizing the information collected. It also includes a strict QA program, second to none, that ensures our clients receive data of known quality.
SmartData Solutions® MIP system is driven to target depth or refusal. We produce a real-time display of the progress of the membrane interface probe as it is being advanced. Your technical team is welcome to observe the screen at all times. It will display 6 channels of data that can be used to better understand the subsurface conditions. Hard copies of these logs will be printed out and handed to onsite representatives at the completion of each hole.
As each membrane interface probe (MIP) log is completed, it will be immediately uploaded to the secure project website for QA and review by the entire technical team (as warranted).
